Pacasmayo district is one of five of the Pacasmayo Provinces, located in the Department of La Libertad, in Peru.
Se halla a poco más de 100 km al norte de Trujillo adquiriendo pasajes a Pacasmayo en bus, aproximadamente en el km 681 de la Panamericana Norte, está a orillas del Océano Pacífico, y tiene una geografía muy accidentada. Los conquistadores españoles fundaron el puerto de Pacasmayo en 1775.
Its main attractions are: the old railroad station, the lighthouse, the breakwater. Its crowded beaches and its fine cuisine based in sea food. The Grace’ House, built in 1850 is one of its most outstanding buildings. Its beaches are suitable for windsurf and surfing.
Pacatnamu and “the two headed hills” are located North, in the Jequetepeque district. Pacasmayo is located in the Valley of the Jequetepeque River, which is form in Cajamarca.
