Paracas city is developed around a port, located in the central coast of Ica, capital of the District named after it.
It is located on the East of Peru. It’s a small bay on Northern Paracas Peninsula, at 13.67 mi. South of Pisco, 46.60 mi. from Ica and 162.18 mi from Lima. Its annual overage temperature is 71.60 F and is mainly sunny with winds known as Paracas, ranging from 15.53 mph and 37.28 mph and may carry sand.
On September 7th, 1820, six vessels from the Liberty Army led by the General Jose de San Martin landed as part of the Peruvian Liberty Expedition.
